Our Leadership
Schreiber Foods International has a shared leadership model with a CEO Council of three key executives.
Chief Commercial Officer
Emily is the Chief Commercial Officer at Schreiber Foods International and a member of the company’s CEO Council. She manages the sales, marketing, and business development functions at the company; oversees purchasing and procurement; and sets the vision for the company’s growth into the future.
Prior to Schreiber Foods International (SFI), Emily worked at World Finer Foods in supply chain and marketing roles, moving on to join SFI as a Purchasing Manager. She has traveled the globe to personally meet with suppliers and curate the selection of Ambrosia quality foods that’s distributed by Schreiber Foods International. She holds a Certificate in Sustainability from the NYU Stern Center for Sustainable Business, and a BA from the University of Delaware.
Emily is a third-generation Schreiber in the family-owned and operated company, founded by her father, Howard Schreiber, and grandparents, Norman and Helen Schreiber, nearly 50 years ago. She is passionate about preserving this legacy while co-leading the company to its next generation of success.
Chief Operating Officer
Mike Braun is the Chief Operating Officer at Schreiber Foods International and a member of the company’s CEO Council. He’s been an integral part of the company for more than 26 years, working side-by-side with the company’s founders and leaders. He’s held key roles in nearly every department during his tenure, making his institutional knowledge unmatched.
Mike learned the foodservice business from the ground up. Earlier in his career, he worked as General Manager on the manufacturing side of the foodservice industry at Andre Bakery Corp. This experience brought him to Schreiber Foods International in 2000, and by 2008, he was named one of only two Vice Presidents, had spearheaded significant expansion efforts including the opening of the company’s first wholly-owned warehouse, and had co-led the company through major world events.
Mike believes it’s important to honor the past while also looking forward to the future. He’s proud of Schreiber Foods International’s legacy and energized to help steer the company through its exciting new growth phase.
Chief Financial Officer
Kalin Ivanov is the Chief Financial Officer at Schreiber Foods International and a member of the company’s CEO Council. He leads the company’s finance function and plays a key role in capital allocation, business performance, risk management, and enterprise-wide strategic initiatives. Working across SFI’s commercial and operational functions, he helps shape priorities, evaluate opportunities, and translate strategy into disciplined execution and measurable results.
Prior to joining Schreiber Foods International, Kalin gained international experience across manufacturing, import/export, and distribution businesses, giving him a broad perspective on finance, operations, global supply chains, and business leadership. He holds an MBA in Corporate Finance and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
As a member of the CEO Council, Kalin plays a central role in guiding SFI’s overall strategic direction, balancing growth opportunities with financial discipline, operational strength, and long-term value creation. He is focused on strengthening the systems, accountability, and decision-making that will position SFI for its next generation of growth.
Howard Schreiber co-founded Schreiber Foods International in 1980 with his parents, Norman and Helen Schreiber. After 46 years leading the company, he is enjoying a well-earned step toward retirement while staying active in the company at an advisory level as Chairman.

When we founded the company in 1980, we envisioned an efficient network of global suppliers and domestic distributors to connect globally sourced ingredients with growing demand.
We accomplish this mission with our people. We provide a flexible work environment, and while we always stress the importance of quality work and dedication to our customers and suppliers, we also stress the importance of a high-level work/life balance, with family still coming first.
Our family has been in food distribution since the 1940s, when the modern foodservice industry was just forming. Since then, we’ve upheld the same core tenets of business through every iteration of Schreiber’s companies: integrity, reliability, quality products, and unparalleled service. The world has grown more complicated, and more demanding despite the advancement of technology, but it is our people and our commitment to our ideals with which we base all decisions to grow as a reliable global leader.
Schreiber Foods International is in a new phase of expansion, and I’m proud to see both the commitment to our longstanding principles and the fresh energy our team is bringing to the company. I’m glad that my daughter Emily is assuming a leadership role to continue our family legacy and perpetuate our company’s successes, along with the other members of our very capable and dedicated CEO Council.
